چکیده
Purpose Using a generic cheese as an anchor product, in this study consumers' preferences for different EU quality schemes have been investigated. Specifically, the aims to understand whether “Protected Designation of Origin” (PDO), “Organic” and “Mountain Product” labels are independent or if there some synergies existing between them, questioning – at same time alleged exchange value plays positive negative role terms willingness pay. Design/methodology/approach A discrete choice experiment (DCE) was conducted on 600 Italian consumers performing random parameter logit model. The respondents were representative population age, gender geographical distribution. Consumers' presence product” assessed DCE, together with effect price, both PDO cheeses. Findings Consumers willing pay premium price per se , without denomination. Considering interaction effects, results showed that combined use do not decrease intention buy. However, when applied these attributes generate lower comparison ones, highlighting possible overlapping them. Originality/value Despite abundant literature many food categories, represents one first attempts measure schemes.

engine and airframe manufacturers for decades have cited the direct relationship between engine wear and high exhaust gas temperature (EGT) in recommending that operators use less than maximum takeoff thrust whenever possible. While the cost benefits of reduced-thrust takeoffs are thoroughly documented, the safety benefits are not as well understood. Thus, there is a common perception that usin...

minimum level. Sometimes more really is more, and less really is less. But often, less is more. If all this piece does is open up the question of whether less is more —if all it does is remind the reader that this is a question, and that our answers to it have important repercussions— then it will have served its purpose. Many ethicists in the ancient tradition argued that human lives could be ...

I N THIS issue of ANESTHESIOLOGY, Li et al. 1 report on a laboratory study of resuscitation from uncontrolled hemorrhagic shock in rats. For those who have not followed this topic in the trauma literature, the results might seem counterintuitive—even heretical. Resuscitate to a lower blood pressure? How could that possibly be better? Although the physiologic reasons for this enigmatic effect ar...
متن کاملNaive theory and transfer of learning: when less is more and more is less.
In this research, we examine how young children perform induction in the domain of biology. According to the essentialist view, even young children have a priori knowledge that some predictors of biological properties are central, whereas others are peripheral. According to the flexible-learning view, the roles of predictors are not fixed, and young children flexibly learn the predictive value ...
متن کاملWhen Less is Less and When Less is More: Starting Small with Staged Input
It has been suggested that external and/or internal limitations may paradoxically lead to superior learning (i.e., the concepts of “starting small” and “less is more”; Elman, 1993; Newport, 1990). In this paper, we explore what conditions might lead to a starting small effect. We report on four artificial grammar learning experiments with human participants. In Experiment 1A, we found an effect...
